TODAY IS THE LAST DAY FOR DONATIONS!
This year our missions focus will support the work of New City Memphis at Perea Elementary. We will be collecting Jesus Storybook Bibles to be given to families as well as school uniforms and underwear for the Kindergarten kiddos. Please donate NEW boy or girl underwear size 3T to size 6, boy or girl khaki shorts size 3T to size 6, boy or girl polo shirts (purple, yellow, or white) size 3T to size 6.

Gospel Themes in Tolkien
Our last opportunity to watch Lord of the Rings with us is coming up! With discussion afterward led by Dan Hall, exploring Gospel themes throughout Tolkien's work. August 15th (The Return of the King) is our last viewing. Location will be in the church fellowship hall with lunch provided (feel free to bring your own second breakfast). Children's Ministry Volunteers Lunch and Training

Children's Ministry volunteers please plan to attend lunch and a time of training on Sunday, August 16 at 11:30 a.m. We will reflect on the work the Lord is doing in and through our ministry and pray, plan, and prepare for the coming ministry year. Bogota Trip Interest Form
The Baxleys have invited us to serve alongside them at their Christmas festival hosted at their church as a community outreach for their neighbors. The dates are December 3rd-7th 2026. We are looking for people interested in attending to serve as well as others who can help plan and organize the event in the months leading up to it.
This form provides more information and a few short questions to help us gauge interest and availability. Please take a second to fill it out and begin praying for this opportunity for our church to serve in Bogota.
GCC Choir & Youth Orchestra Is Resuming
We are so excited to have choir and Youth Orchestra starting back up! Choir AND Youth Orchestra BOTH resume August 12th (Orchestra - 5:50-6:25, Choir - 7:30-8:30PM)! We will present our anthem on September 13th. You can find the rehearsal calendar on our website.
Hymn Sing is August 30th, 5:30-6:30pm with a dessert social to follow.

GCC Concert Series
Kicking off our first entry in the GCC Concert Series for the upcoming season, Memphis & Nashville recording artist CJ Starnes and his band will be performing in the GCC sanctuary on October 2nd at 7pm. This is a free event thanks to generous donations from sponsors. Please invite your friends - especially folks who otherwise might not consider entering a church - and join us for an exciting evening of original indie/country/folk songs. We are so excited to partner with one of our church-sponsored ministries to help make this event possible (more info TBA), and donations raised from this event will go towards helping to support that ministry. We pray for one another because we are connected in an authentic community of faith. Each day this week, take a moment to pray for some of the people God has planted in our community. Thank God for calling them to be members of our church family. Pray for His help and provision for their needs. Ask Him to encourage and grow them in their faith. If you have an opportunity, take a moment and send them a word of encouragement this week.
