On Sunday, August 3rd, we will hold a brief congregational meeting at 11 AM following worship for the purpose of electing a new deacon. Dinner for 8’s
Time is running out to sign up for ‘Dinner for 8’s! Dinner’s have already kicked off and people are having fun! Follow the link below to sign up with three other couples (or singles) to enjoy a meal together as we get to know better the members of our fellowship here at GCC. We have a few people that have signed up to be participant’s on dates with no host. If you are thinking about hosting, please look into the dates where others have already signed up to be a participant. If you have signed up for a dinner with no host and there are some slots still available on dates with a host already, consider changing your date. We would love to get as many people together as possible!
VBS is HERE!
Get your thinking caps on because our ‘Scottish Sleuths’ themed VBS is THIS WEEK, July 15th-17th from 9:30-12! We still need a few more things for snacks if anyone could possibly donate. Thanks!
Children's Ministry Volunteers Save the Date!
Plan to join us August 8th-9th (Friday evening and Saturday) for a time of encouragement and training as we live-stream the GROW Virtual Conference offered by the PCA Discipleship Ministries.
We will also have a time of training specific to our GCC Children's Ministry. Childcare is available. Contact Jana Grayson with questions.
Sheds of Hope Build Event
We want to be ready when it counts: Join Mission to North America's (MNA) Disaster Response Workshop – July 25th-26th in Raymond MS. for a hands-on Disaster Response Workshop and build event for Sheds of Hope. The plans are to leave Memphis in time to begin at 8:00 in Raymond and work until 4:00. Saturday would also begin at 8:00 but would probably wrap up sometime in the afternoon. The nearest hotels are in Clinton MS. This is a way to minister to our fellow PCA churches and also to determine if this may be something that the Memphis area churches could do locally. We would also covet your prayers for safety during the event and God's direction for our Presbytery regarding this as a ministry. RSVP: patobin@zoho.com

Pray for One Another
We pray for one another because we are connected in an authentic community of faith. Each day this week, take a moment to pray for some of the people God has planted in our community. Thank God for calling them to be members of our church family. Pray for His help and provision for their needs. Ask Him to encourage and grow them in their faith. If you have an opportunity, take a moment and send them a word of encouragement this week.
