God chose Abram to be Abraham, the father of many nations, and to exalt His name through His promises and faithfulness to Abraham. As we look back on God’s interactions with Abraham, we will learn more about our God, the same God of Abraham, Who never changes and always keeps His promises.
Genesis is the story of beginnings, inviting us into God’s unfolding story. It tells us who God is, what God is like, and what God has done and is doing in the world. In its promise of the Savior, we discover who we are, why we exist, and what God has done about our broken condition.
