Rest is a firewall against the idolatry of work. When we rest, we remind ourselves that our identity comes from our union with Christ. Even as we lament the struggles and pains of this life, we can be strengthened by the sure hope that this pain is not forever. Even as the darkness lingers, it doesn’t have the final word. In this closure to our series on lament, we will study some of the last chapters of the Bible, where we get a glimpse of the ends of God’s work even through all the darkness of the world.
For three weeks, we will explore a little of what it means for Jesus to be our Prophet, our Priest, and our King. His rolls also inform our rolls in the world and His kingdom, since we are disciples of His and the Father is shaping us into His likeness.

We delight in the generosity of our God declared to us, exploring the generosity of the Father, the generosity of the Son, and the generosity of the Holy Spirit: the whole Godhead interconnected, together giving us all good things.
