Dear GCC Family,

The officers have made the following decisions for all programs and activities through March 31st:

• We will to move to worship at home using an online video of our service for the next two Sundays.

• There will be no live worship service at GCC on 3/22 or 3/29.

• All programs and activities have been canceled or postponed, including all bible studies and book studies, children’s choir, Sunday school, and youth and children’s activities.

• Community Groups will continue to meet in smaller groups. Look for communication from your Community Group leaders for more details.

• The Women’s Retreat has been postponed. No new date has been scheduled yet. If you made a room reservation, it has already been canceled.

• Adult choir will continue to rehearse on Wednesday nights for the time being.

• The Easter Egg Hunt scheduled for Saturday, April 11th has been canceled.

Our goal in the midst of this crisis is to honor the requests of our local and national health experts while continuing GCC’s mission to delight in God, demonstrate mercy, and declare the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ.

• We discussed both a short-term and long-term plan for GCC.

• We will be constantly re-evaluating our plans based on the most recent recommendations of local and national health experts.

• We will lean towards over communicating rather than under communicating.

• Be patient and flexible. This is our first global pandemic as church officers.

Our confidence is in the knowledge that the Lord will remain faithful even as we make imperfect decision in difficult times. We are trusting in his mercy to cover all our imperfections.
